If so, consider joining the NorQuest College team as an Instructor for the Physical Therapy Assistant Diploma (PTAD) Program. As an integral part of our team, you will facilitate and evaluate student learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings. This is a . 5FTE permanent instructor (approximately 18 hours per week) position.

 

This part-time (.5 FTE) position will support student success by:

 

  • Providing online and face-to-face instruction and delivering hands-on lab workshops;
  • Supporting clinical placement; monitoring academic performance, identifying and addressing academic issues;
  • Providing subject matter expertise and developing curriculum (course content, learning activities, assessments)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Physiotherapist, registered with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association (PACA)
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively on a team
  • Teaching, mentoring, and curriculum development experience preferred
  • Computer skills and online teaching experience preferred
  • Clinical experience in pediatrics, older adults, neurology, acute and/or cardiopulmonary care is an asset

 

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

 Successful candidates for the PTAD Instructor position are required to provide the following:

  • A Police Information Check within the last ninety days
  • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last ninety days
  • Up to date immunization records

 

SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience with immediate participation in our comprehensive benefits plans.
