INSTRUCTOR, HEALTH CARE AIDE (CASUAL)

In this role you will provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed for employment in continuing care and home settings. As an integral part of our division, you will facilitate and evaluate student learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.

 

The hours of work are usually day time, Monday to Friday; however clinical rotations may include an evening component. Casual instructors teaching in the clinical setting are needed to commit to a minimum of 4 or 8 consecutive weeks of full time hours at a time.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:      

  • RN, RPN with current continuing care and teaching experience preferred
  • LPN with at least one year toward a BScN
  • Current CARNA/CRPNA/CLPNA registration required
  • Excellent technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills  

 

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

Successful candidates for the Health Care Aide Instructor position are required to provide the following:

  • A Police Information Check within the last ninety days
  • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last ninety days
  • Up to date immunization records

SALARY:   Commensurate with education and experience. This opportunity also includes 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.
