INSTRUCTOR, PRACTICAL NURSE PROGRAM
FACULTY OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY STUDIES

As a NorQuest Instructor, you will facilitate learning in in a variety of learning deliveries in the Edmonton region.  This includes both online delivery facilitation, lab support, and monitoring students in their final practicum. Instructors help learners acquire the knowledge, skills and attitude to meet the professional nursing standards. You will need to possess excellent communication skills as your primary role is to assist student understanding of the practical nurse scope of practice.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • RN 3-5 years acute care/teaching experience or LPN with a related degree and 3-5 years acute care/teaching acute care experience
  • Current CARNA or CLPNA registration
  • Current CPR
  • Proficient with technology, and strong digital literacy.
  • Experience teaching in online or hybrid modalities an asset, but not required.

 

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

 

Successful candidates for the Practical Nurse Instructor positions are required to provide the following:

  • A Police Information Check within the last ninety days
  • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last ninety days
  • Up to date immunization records

 

SALARY:   Commensurate with education and experience. This position also includes very generous vacation and immediate participation in our comprehensive pension and benefits plans. 

 

NOTE:  This is a part time (0.5 FTE) position.  The hours of work are usually day time, Monday to Friday; however may be adjusted to program and individual needs.
