- Conduct workplace investigations including the development of high-quality reports and recommendations that are legally sound and inclusive of approaches to restore teams.
- Support leaders with interpreting employee experience survey results and developing and implementing action plans.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as an HR generalist, utilizing a business partner approach is required.
- CPHR designation is preferred.
- Experience working within a post-secondary or public organization is desired.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM:
The Upskilling for Data Analytics and Business Intelligence non-credit program is based on the former, award-winning Autism CanTech program. Our focus is on giving Autistic individuals the skills necessary to successfully enter the growing data industry.
Upskilling Data and Business Analysis is a 16-week, hands on program that includes both in-person learning and on-the-job work integrated learning. Participants acquire employment skills and develop workplace self-advocacy tools to ensure clear communication with their employer focused on equity, productivity, and accommodation. Participants will be supported in gradually entering the workforce through a work integrated learning experience.
The Communications and Career Development Instructor contributes to the success of the Upskilling program by delivering instruction and supporting development of employability skills, which includes the areas of business communication skills, teamwork & collaboration, digital productivity, professionalism, work-life balance, giving and receiving feedback, continuous learning, and professional development. These skills will prepare Autistic participants to make meaningful contributions to data teams in a variety of organizations. Our program’s purpose is to provide participants with the skills and tools to gain and maintain meaningful employment after program completion. This instructional assignment consists of approximately 20 hours a week and requires in-person delivery of courses at our downtown campus Monday-Friday. The program runs from May 2024 – Dec 2024 with the possibility of extension.

- Prepare and facilitate the delivery of classroom materials and other materials as required for online and in-person classrooms.

The Office of Equity supports NorQuest’s strategic commitment to becoming an inclusive, anti-racist, and decolonized organization. Focusing on EDI, Anti-Racism, and Decolonial Indigenization, the Office of Equity strives to promote sustainable systemic change that reduces barriers in higher education and creates greater access for all.
Reporting to the Director of Equity, with reporting ties to the President & CEO as well as the Board of Governors, the Safe Disclosure Advisor will provide expertise in the development and operationalization of the Safe Disclosure Office. This includes the development and updating of policies, procedures and operational plans to support the successful of the Safe Disclosure Office within NorQuest College. The individual will be the first point of contact for any disclosures that come to the Safe Disclosure Office and will work with the Safe Disclosure Team to foster trauma-informed processes. This position will also develop and deliver awareness sessions, create resources, conduct stakeholder consultation and cross-departmental integration to support the successful integration and on-going work of the Safe Disclosure Office into college processes.

- Lead and coordinate with Safe Disclosure Team as well as key stakeholders such as HR, Compliance, and the Office of Student Judicial Affairs (OSJA).
- Ensure safe disclosure best practices are implemented, fair process followed, and anti-retaliation measures are included in intake process.
- Implement, update, and oversee the continuously improvement of the disclosure intake process.
