    The NorQuest College Centre for Diversity and Inclusion (CDI) is a research and training centre for excellence that offers customized training solutions in the areas of diversity, inclusion and intercultural education.  The Centre has completed over 30 funded projects with a value of $4.6 million in applied research and development, and partnered with over 80 organizations regionally, nationally, and internationally to offer a range of training and consultative services that are customized to our client’s needs.

    We draw on a variety of tools and approaches to meet the diverse learning needs and styles of our clients.

    Our clients include The City of Edmonton, the Government of Alberta, Enbridge Inc., the University of Alberta, EPCOR, and Queen’s University. We also support not for profit organizations such as the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC).


    The CDI team is comprised of diversity and inclusion practitioners, researchers, and intercultural facilitators.  We are proud to represent NorQuest College as a leading inclusive educational institution.


    From time to time, the Centre utilizes external resources to assist with project development and execution.  The Centre is inviting Expressions of Interest for individuals who are interested in contributing to the Centre’s vision. The Centre will establish a professional community to draw upon in the following areas:


    • Facilitation
    • Workshop and Curriculum Development
    • Applied Research
    • Instructional Design




    • Qualifications will vary, depending on the particular area of expertise.  In general, the CDI will be looking for the following competencies:
    • Completion or near completion of an undergraduate degree in a related field of study
    • Demonstrated experience in roles relating to diversity and inclusion development, facilitation, training and research
    • Demonstrated competency in the identified area of expertise
    • Experience working in the post-secondary learning sector
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a generative and creative environment
    • A commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity
