    This position will work closely with a team of instructors to provide education that is current, relevant, and accessible to our learners in the Hospital Unit Clerk, Medical Office Assistant and other related programs.  We are looking for someone to teach administrative medical procedures and medical computer applications in the online and face-to-face deliveries of this program. You will facilitate student learning in assigned class, laboratory and practicum settings. You will use technology and our Learning Management System (Moodle) to deliver courses.  You will assess, monitor and evaluate student performance and progress, playing a primary role in assisting students to reach their potential.


    We offer training and mentoring to help you transition from a clinician to an educator.



    • RN or LPN with a related degree with 3-5 years experience (with current CARNA or CLPNA registration) or Degree in a related discipline with 3-5 years experience working in a health care setting
    • Previous experience working in a doctor’s office or specialty practice would be an asset.
    • Excellent knowledge of the administrative role and tasks of a unit clerk and/or medical office assistant
    • Strong technology skills including knowledge of health care software applications (e.g. HealthQuest) and MS Office is essential.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Previous instructional experience with adults, ability to develop course materials for face-to-face or online delivery an asset.  Experience with Moodle an asset.


    Successful candidates for the Instructor position are required to provide the following:

    • A Police Information Check within the last ninety days
    • A Vulnerable Sectors Check within the last ninety days
    • Up to date immunization records


    SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience. This position also includes very generous vacation and immediate participation in our comprehensive pension and benefits plans. Appointment to this position is effective July 1, 2018.  However, start date is flexible.
