    Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Admissions and Information, the Team Lead is responsible for the effective management, organization and development of the Admissions and Transfer Credit Unit, as well as the day-to-day operations of the team.  The Admissions and Transfer Credit team assists applicants and provides resources to those who have applied to a college program. The Team Lead provides direction in the planning and implementation of a strategic admissions plan that facilitates positive applicant experiences and helps the college meet its enrolment goals. These duties require that the Admissions Team Lead maintain the role of an internal and external liaison with and for the College on matters that relate to admissions and transfer credit policies and procedures, as well as applicant advising.  The Team Lead is accountable for reviewing, developing, and implementing business processes for the unit. The Team Lead ensures that the services provided are of high quality and meet the changing needs of applicants, stakeholders and the NorQuest College community.




    • Supervise the day to day operations of the unit
    • Supervise and regularly evaluate Admissions staff
    • Support in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance development of staff 
    • Represent Admissions in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
    • Adhere to business service standards
    • Support applicants throughout the application cycle through advising on resources available, policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for requesting and revising queries to support data-driven decision processes and reporting requirements
    • Identify and resolve difficult admissions-related student issues
    • Advise and recommend solutions to changing admissions requirements




    • Related university degree is required. Equivalencies may be considered.
    • Minimum of five years’ of experience in an admissions department is required.
    • Supervisory experience in a fast paced unionized environment is required.
    • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, organizational, multi-tasking skills
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong MS Office skills
    • Must have an in-depth knowledge of admissions and transfer credit best practices
    • Knowledge of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions an asset


    SALARY: $65,318 to $84,817 per annum plus immediate participation in our comprehensive pension and benefits plans.
