    Reporting to the Associate Registrar, Student Records the Team Lead, Data Processing plans for, organizes, and directs operational functions related to data processing, switchboard, applicant and student payments, and filing.


    This role is responsible for organizing and distributing workloads among staff to ensure timely and efficient processing within service standards. The position is responsible for monitoring and evaluating unit activities and reports to identify trends and rectify areas of concern. The Team Lead works regularly with other Team Leads and Office of the Registrar leadership to resolve issues, implement process improvements, and relay information to other areas in the college. This role anticipates how changes in the college may impact the Data Processing Unit and collaborates with OR leadership for effective change management and responses that are integrated across work areas. The Team Lead is also responsible for resolving irregular and complex issues from students and staff.




    • Supervise the day to day operations of the unit
    • Supervise and regularly evaluate staff
    • Implements goals, expectations and standards set by OR management
    • Ensures data entry is timely and correct and student records are maintained according to policy.
    • Leads and oversees initial activities related to building and storing student records, cash office and payment activities, college switchboard, and general email.
    • Identifies and resolves escalated student issues as they relate to unit activities; responds to informal issues/complaints and oversees preparation of recommendations for formal appeals.
    • Prepares reports, summaries or other documents as required for OR management.
    • Oversee ongoing updating of training materials, desk manuals, and other reference sources for the unit.




    • University degree in a related discipline. Equivalencies may be considered.
    • 3-5 years related work experience, preferably in a post-secondary environment.
    • Experience working with a student information system (preferably PeopleSoft Campus Solutions) an asset
    • Knowledge of records management and maintaining integrity of records
    • Critical thinking, problem-solving and research skills
    • Superior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of FOIP Legislation
    • Knowledge of technological trends and best practices as they relate to switchboard, customer service and records management


    SALARY: $59,380 – $77,106 per annum plus immediate participation in our comprehensive pension and benefits plans.
