    DEVELOPER ANALYST ENTERPRISE SYSTEMS

    EDUCATION & INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

    This position collaborates closely with college stakeholders and colleagues in Education and Information Technology to design and implement software solutions that are aligned with the strategic plans of the department. This position ensures that the solutions developed have few defects and are designed with user experience being a major design consideration.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    System Design

    • Design systems and tools with a strong focus on User Experience
    • Translate digital concepts into interactive prototypes
    • Document systems by contributing to the team’s documentation repository

    System Development

    • Build Business solutiosn based on user requirements using tools such as VB.Net, C#, ASP.Net, HTML, Angular, JavaScript
    • Implement/configure custom built or packaged software
    • Develop test plans and coordinate testing with stakeholders

    System Support

    • Perform code reviews and testing of colleagues' work
    • Schedule and monitor implementation of new systems and changes to existing systems and engage in effective communications with stakeholders throughout the process
    • Participate in supporting the systems used at the College in a tier 2/3 capacity
    • Analyze causes of incidents, and communicate approaches to minimize probability of recurrence, contributing to continual service improvement

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Degree or diploma in related discipline, preferably in Computing Science is required
    • Equivalencies may be considered
    • ITIL certification would be considered an asset
    • Ability to solve complex problems and to work independently through ambiguity

    SALARY: $58,681 - $75,225 per annum.  Commensurate with education and experience
