    CASUAL INSTRUCTOR, PHARMACY TECHNICIAN PROGRAM

    FACULTY OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY STUDIES

     

    Our accredited Pharmacy Technician 2-year Diploma hosts small class sizes and a strong focus on technical practice skills.  The program is designed to prepare graduates for their complex roles in community, continuing care and hospital pharmacies.

    This casual position is focused on regular instruction and co-instruction of practical lab and theory courses in a community pharmacy setting from January – June 2019.  

     

     

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

      

    • Facilitate student learning in class, laboratory and practicum settings.
    • Assess, monitor and evaluate student performance and progress.
    • Work with students to improve practical skills.
    • Prepare and facilitate laboratory activities.
    • Deliver lab and theory courses and maintain student records.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Pharmacist registered with the Alberta College of Pharmacy, with recent community pharmacy practice experience
    • Proficiency with Kroll and Microsoft Office
    • A solid understanding of and appreciation for the pharmacy technician profession.
    • Previous instructional experience in a post-secondary environment and course work in adult education, with evidence of student-centered teaching excellence, is an asset.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

     

    SALARY: To Commensurate with education and experience
