We have an exciting brand new opportunity to develop a curriculum from the ground up for the Dental Office Assistant (DOA) Program and then teach the curriculum to students as an Instructor at the College!
This 12-week Dental Office Assistant (DOA) program will prepare graduates to work in dental practice settings such as denture clinics, orthodontist and specialist offices, dental labs, and other dental-related businesses and healthcare industries. Students will learn clerical and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, billing, filing, customer service and using dental software. This program will provide students with the basic knowledge of dental terminology and applications, management skills, and work experience needed to be successful their role.
Reporting to the Program Chair of Health Admin and Technology, the successful candidate will play a key role in the Dental Office Assistant Programs effort to support best practices in quality curriculum design and development. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty and the Curriculum Associate Chair until to create interactive curriculum materials that incorporate teaching and learning theories, universal instructional design principles for accessibility, and the eCampus Alberta Quality Standards. In addition, will then take on the Instructor role to teach students the newly designed program!
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience. This term position offers a competitive base salary and generous vacation entitlement, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including immediate enrolment in our pension plan.
