INTERDISCIPLINARY THERAPY ASSISTANT DIPLOMA PROGRAM

The Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant Diploma program at NorQuest College is inviting applications for the position of instructor. This position can accommodate a 0.8 to 1.0 FTE depending on the candidate’s preference.
NorQuest College’s Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant (ITA) Diploma will be offered for the first time starting September 2019, and has evolved from the previously offered Physical Therapy Assistant program as it strives to better prepare students to provide outstanding care. This is an exciting opportunity to help students achieve their goals, and to join our innovative team in taking therapy assistant education to the next level of excellence. As an integral part of our team, you will facilitate and evaluate student learning in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.
The instructor would be teaching discipline-specific courses such as Occupational Therapy Theories and Foundations of physical medicine for Assistants, and Occupational Therapy foundations of Mental Health and Cognition for Assistants as well as other general or interdisciplinary courses. This instructor may also participate in practicum coordination, and the support of preceptors and students during placement.

Successful candidates for the Instructor position are required to provide the following:
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
START DATE: July 1, 2019
POSITION: 0.8-1.0 FTE, permanent instructor, the hours of work are done mostly day time, Monday to Friday, start date July 1, 2019.
