The Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant Diploma program at NorQuest College is inviting applications for curriculum development contractors.
NorQuest College’s Interdisciplinary Therapy Assistant (ITA) Diploma will be offered for the first time starting September 2019, and has evolved from the previously offered Physical Therapy Assistant program as it strives to better prepare students to provide outstanding care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our innovative team in taking therapy assistant education to the next level of excellence.
The curriculum developer would be developing the discipline specific course(s): Introduction to Speech and Communication Disorders, and/or Introduction to Language and Swallowing Disorders. They would also consult and support the development and alignment of the overall program and various interdisciplinary courses such as Communication and Collaboration in Health-Care, Professional Practice for Therapy Assistants, Integrated Care across the Lifespan.
Note: If you are interested in developing curriculum for the ITA program, you may also be interested in joining our instructional team. We are also seeking instructors to teach in the program starting December 2019. Please review the Speech Language Pathologist – Instructor posting for further details.
This position you will develop curriculum by:
SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.
START DATE: ASAP
POSITION: 300-1000 hours of work depending on course(s) assigned for development, some in personal meetings with most work completed from home, start date ASAP.
