INTERNAL POSTING ONLY DIRECTOR, CULTURE AND DEVELOPMENT  PEOPLE AND CULTURE    Reporting to the Vice President of People and Culture, this is a senior leader who will advance the strategy, execution and support of all culture plan initiatives based on organizational requirements and the Imagine 2025: Strategic Plan.  This senior position will be responsible for strategizing all aspects of leadership development; as well as, employee and faculty development.     KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   Lead and Manage the Culture and Development Team - Ensure the provision of workforce relevant training and professional development to the team - Directly manage a team of Faculty Developers, Learning and Culture Advisors. - Manage performance of direct reports, establish quarterly and annual goals, and provide coaching, mentorship and development support   Implementation and Management of NorQuest’s Culture Plan and Development Programs - Work with executive team members to leverage people and technology processes in support of culture initiatives - Play a key role in assessing and driving high impact progress on the 10 elements of the culture system and closely collaborate on implementation with the Talent Team - Work with the college’s leadership team to optimize the leadership system regarding culture execution - Connect with internal communications team to leverage transparent communication regarding the progress on culture - Help to accelerate the development of internal community teams for increased peer to peer development  - Manage the leadership development program based on evolving needs for the college and in alignment to our culture plan - Manage the Recognition Platform and support the management of Q awards and long service (employee recognition program) - Oversee the onboarding process for all new talent acquisitions with a focus on employee experience aligned to the college’s culture - Design and administer employee engagement / culture assessments in order to identify key employee opinions and needs throughout the organization - Analyze results and utilize those results to formulate multi-year strategic recommendations to ensure the quality of the employee experience in alignment with the college’s culture plan - Research, develop, implement and evaluate all programs and services that support the academic, technical and professional growth of NorQuest faculty and staff - Facilitate professional development activities that enhance understanding of faculty academic growth and professional development and training - Network with Provincial and National institutions and organizations - Liaise with Faculty committees, faculty and staff, and other College departments - Build alignment and direction for employee events to support culture and development plans   Financial planning and budget administration - Prepare and monitor the divisional work plan and budget - Manage the Professional Development fund and support Business Critical Training process with Division Heads   Advance planning and horizon scanning - Collaborate with stakeholders on the development and renewal of College policy and procedures -  Analyze  employee engagement information and retention data for the College to support action planning across the enterprise -  Promote personal and employee professional development that enhance understanding of faculty academic growth and professional development and training   QUALIFICATIONS: - Related business degree is required - A related Masters’ Degree is a definite asset - Professional Designation with an relatable association – CPHR,SHRM - 10 years of management and/or organizational effectiveness experience - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and PeopleSoft systems - Excellent communication and facilitation skills - Ability to plan educational interventions based upon analysis of data - Analytical, quality assurance and scientific process skills   SALARY: Management Level 15:  $133,685 to $167,106 per annum.   This management position offers immediate enrollment in our comprehensive benefits plan, and the management employees’ pension plan (MEPP).   This permanent position also has a generous vacation entitlement. MANAGER, OLSON CENTRE FOR HEALTH SIMULATION FACULTY OF HEALTH AND COMMUNITY STUDIES   Please note that this opportunity is open to current NorQuest employees only.   Reporting to the Dean in the Faculty of Health and Community Studies, the Simulation Centre Manager is a key player in assisting the division to meet outcomes.  This position takes a strong strategic role, providing a vision and direction for the Simulation Centre to evolve as a unique interdisciplinary service integrating various forms of simulation and embracing technology as tools for learning. This vision embraces collaboration, inclusion and diversity as trademarks for simulations in the Faculty of Health and Community Studies.  Strategic direction and initiatives are complemented by a strong operational focus, as the individual is responsible for the coordination and supervision of operational, technical, human resources, projects related to the Centre. COUNSELLOR  WELLNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY   Reporting to the Manager of Wellness, the Counsellor’s primary function is to support students with mental health concerns using best practices set out by the College of Alberta Psychologists, provide appropriate psychosocial interventions and referrals, and respond to mental health emergencies in the student population.  This position will function as an integrated multidisciplinary member within Wellness, in order to provide support to at-risk students and those with mental health needs. This position will gather statistics that illustrate their work with students, work within the standards provided by the College of Alberta Psychologists, and provide other duties as required.     RESPONSIBILITIES: - Provide mental health support to students requiring counselling to address barriers to success. - Provide crisis and drop-in counselling to at-risk students. - Actively participate as part of a multidisciplinary Wellness Team, to ensure best practices and student safety. - Participate and/or lead Wellness Team mental health initiatives that support NorQuest students. - Collaborate with other areas of the College in order to support student mental health.   QUALIFICATIONS: - Masters degree in Counselling Psychology or Educational Psychology is required. - Registration, in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists. - 5+ years of experience is required, experience in a post-secondary education environment would be an asset. - Experience with counselling in the post-secondary environment would be an asset. - Experience with psychoeducational assessments. - Experience providing trauma informed, psychosocial interventions and crisis counselling. - Experience developing and delivering resources. - Experience and training supporting individuals impacted by sexual violence. - Experience working in a multidisciplinary setting. - Experience establishing/maintaining a network of contacts with community resources. - Demonstrated ability to work collaborative and positively on a team. - Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills. - Demonstrated flexibility and the ability to respond quickly to changing demands. - Experience with acculturation issues. - Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both verbal, electronic, and written formats. - Must be independent, organized, and detail-oriented. - Communicates with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and courtesy.   SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience.  This is a term position ending June 30, 2020 with the possibility of extension.   COMPETITION NUMBER: 2019-2570   CLOSING DATE: Open until a suitable candidate is found.   TO APPLY: If you meet the requirements of this position and wish to apply, please continue with this online process by uploading your resume and cover letter combined as one document.   NOTE: Notification of receipt will be sent only to online applicants.   NorQuest College helps students unlock their potential and realize their dreams.
