FULL STACK DEVELOPER EDUCATION AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY   Our ideal candidate is highly self-directed, works well in collaborative environments, and can demonstrate the technical skills required to design, develop and implement technical solutions. If this sounds like you, we’d like to talk to you!     This position collaborates closely with college stakeholders and colleagues in Education and Information Technology to design and implement software solutions that are aligned with the strategic plans of the department. This position ensures that the solutions developed have few defects and are designed with user experience being a major design consideration. The Full Stack Developer also plays a role in supporting the College’s database servers and databases.     RESPONSIBILITES: - Translate logical designs into physical designs, and produce detailed design documentation. - Produces detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate. - Design, code, test, correct and document complex programs and scripts from agreed specifications, and subsequent iterations, using agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. - Develops visual user experiences across digital assets - Rapidly translate digital concepts into hi-fidelity visual outputs and interactive prototypes. - Captures multi-disciplinary requirements, and translates those requirements into user experiences, prototypes and final assets. - Use database management system software and tools, and knowledge of logical database schemata, to investigate problems and collect performance statistics and create reports. Carries out routine configuration/installation and reconfiguration of database and related products. - Provides advice on the transformation of data/information from one format/medium to another, where appropriate. - Applies ethical and robust techniques in the transformation of data from one format/medium to another, in line with organizational policies and procedures and being sensitive to risks around the use of information. - Schedule and monitor implementation of new systems and changes to existing systems, and ensures effective communication with stakeholders throughout the process. - Diagnoses service delivery problems and takes action to maintain or improve service levels. - Manages and resolves incidents and problems according to agreed procedures and service level agreements. - Analyzes causes of incidents, and communicates approaches to minimize probability of recurrence, and contribute to continuous service improvement.   QUALIFICATIONS:  - Post-secondary diploma (2 years) in related field. - University degree in related discipline, preferably in Computing Science is considered a strong asset. - Equivalencies may be considered. - ITIL certification would be considered an asset - MCSD certifications would be considered an asset - SQL Server certifications would be considered an asset - Ability to solve complex problems and to work independently through ambiguity    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with the design, development and maintenance of enterprise level databases (MS SQL). - Minimum 1-3 years’ experience with solutions design and development using .Net framework, HTML, ASP .Net, JavaScript. - Demonstrated ability to articulate and translate technical language for non-technical customers both orally and in writing. - Analysis and data analysis and interpretation skills. - Strong oral and written communication skills. - Ability to effectively engage and influence others. - Problem solving and creativity. - Demonstrated ability to confirm/understand business needs and translate those needs into systems designs. - Preference to candidates with experience in educational or public sector settings   SALARY: $50,782 - $65,977 per annum. WELLNESS COACH (ADMINISTRATOR I) WELLNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY STUDENT SERVICES   Reporting to the Manager of Wellness, the Wellness Coach provides practicum support to students with disabilities, as well as group social skills training relevant to the classroom, practicum and workplace. SOCIAL WORKER (ADVISOR III) WELLNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY STUDENT SERVICES   Reporting to the Manager of Wellness and Accessibility, the Social Worker’s primary function is to perform needs assessments to identify appropriate psychosocial interventions, identify and respond to mental health emergencies and support basic living needs, information, support, and community referrals for students.  This position will coordinate with other areas in the College in order to foster communication and encourage collaboration for effective service delivery. This position will deliver and organize culturally sensitive presentations and fairs that provide meaningful information to students, provide counselling support and crisis counselling, and cultivate best practices, new Social Work research, and maintain ethical Social Work standards. Additional duties may be assigned as required. WORK INTEGRATED LEARNING ADVISOR FACULTY OF FOUNDATIONAL, CAREERS AND INTERCULTURAL STUDIES   This position reports to the Manager, Work Integrated Learning (WIL). Advisors contribute to the success of students by coaching, guiding, and connecting them to employer-partners. As a WIL Advisor, you will coordinate placement for Work Integrated Learning that leads to student learning and satisfaction with our employer-partners. You will coach students on various aspects of career development from resume writing to professionalism in one-on-one meetings and in classroom settings. You will assess student experience and determine the best fit for placement. Through regular follow-ups, you will evaluate learning and enhance relationships with employer-partners.   The WIL Advisor expertly markets and sells WIL to students and external stakeholders. Through regular communication with students, stakeholders, and faculty and staff, you will solve problems, provide information, and represent NorQuest College as the first point of contact during work experience placements.   The Work Integrated Learning (WIL) unit empowers students in the Faculty of Foundational, Career, and Intercultural Studies (FCIS) programs by coordinating work integrated learning opportunities to enhance academic achievement through workforce-relevant experiences with employer-partners. The unit supports all types of WIL within FCIS, including Administrative Professional, Accounting Technician, Apprenticeship Prep, Business Administration Diploma, Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, English as a Second Language, and Transitions to Employment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support multiple programs and grow your skills.   This position plays a key role in enhancing NorQuest’s presence in the community and building NorQuest’s reputation of preparing students to become workforce-ready graduates.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   - Develop, deliver, evaluate, and revise workshops in and out of the classroom related to professionalism, career development, work cultures and expectations, professional communication, dress, soft skills, and more - Assist students with all parts of the WIL process (e.g., writing resumes and cover letters, preparing for and practicing interviewing, networking, completing background check applications and other paperwork) - Manage work experience courses, including assessing and monitoring students - Observe student experience and learning on site - Interact with employer-partners to develop work plans for students - Represent NorQuest to employer-partners during all communication and site visits and at various external and campus events to increase Work Integrated Learning network and develop presence in community - Maintain regular contact with employer-partners during work placements - Assess employer-partner suitability to determine best student fit - Survey students and employer-partners to improve programming and services - Market services to students and employers through social media marketing, newsletters, and more!     QUALIFICATIONS:   - A relevant postsecondary degree or diploma; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu - 3-5 years of experience in post-secondary environment or hiring and recruiting environment - Experience advising students, particularly immigrants, international students, students with disabilities, and English as a Second Language students in an educational or similar setting - Experience with PeopleSoft an asset - Experience with social media or other marketing an asset - Experience with human resources an asset - Demonstrated tact, diplomacy, public relations skills and ability to quickly assess situations and make judgements to benefit students and relationships with employer-partners - Willingness to travel to employer-partner locations - Career Development certificate an asset   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES   - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy - High level of professionalism and ability to network and develop relationships - Excellent communication skills (one-on-one and group facilitation) for interaction with students, internal, and external stakeholders - Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills to support/create optimal student and employer outcomes - Knowledge of labour market and trends - Knowledge of employability skills and career development techniques - Independent, organized, and committed to student success with a passion for serving students to help them reach their goals - Ability to work cooperatively as member of team to meet unit goals and objectives - Flexible and willing to adapt to change - Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products - Interest in continuous learning and professional development     SALARY:  $52,052 to 67,626 per annum. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST WELLNESS AND ACCESSIBILITY STUDENT SERVICES                                                                                                                                                                                                 Do you have extensive knowledge relating to the use of assistive learning technologies?
